She is committed to supporting young people and their families with neurodiversity challenges, grief/loss, mental health concerns, or those coping with trauma/abuse. Danica completed her degree in Nutrition at the University of Alberta and obtained further training in the Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) approach to feeding. Danica has dedicated her career to working in the areas of maternal and pediatric nutrition.

Danica has supported pediatric patients and their families with establishing good feeding practices, growth concerns, starting solids, picky eating, sensory issues with food, constipation, IBS, managing multiple allergies, nutrient deficiencies, and disordered eating. Danica is a genuine food lover and believes that a healthy relationship with food should always come first. Whether you have questions about prenatal, postpartum, or pediatric nutrition, Danica can help you and your family find your balance and joy at every life stage.

Laurie Larkin-Boyle

Registered Clinical Counsellor and Certified Art Therapist

Laurie, is a Clinical Counselor and Art Therapist. She is also a school counselor and experienced elementary school teacher. Laurie specializes in working with children ages 6-12 who require support with grief/loss, anxiety, ADHD, trauma, and depression. She also specializes in working with adults in the Education system, to help promote and support their self-care.

Laurie uses an arts based, trauma informed approach that incorporates neurodevelopment and mind-body best practices. She recognizes that when we honour the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual parts of ourselves we can achieve balance and healing.

Formerly from the Yukon, Laurie now lives in Nanaimo with her husband and two children. In her spare time, she likes to be with her family, walk in nature, and create art.
